Maharishi Yogi dies

The Indian guru, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who was walking in the path to spiritual enlightenment, has died. The 91-year-old Maharishi died in his sleep on 5th February evening at his home in the Netherlands. It seems that the Maharishi died peacefully in his sleep at around 1800hrs GMT.

The Maharishi announced his retirement and rested into silence at his home in Vlodrop last month. He said his work was done and he wanted to dedicate his remaining days to studying ancient Hindu Vedas texts. He introduced the Transcendental Meditation movement to the West in 1959.

Maharishi was born in the state of Madhya Pradhesh and was a physicist before dedicating himself to the spiritual world. Maharishi taught everyone about reaching the state of pure consciousness through meditation. In 1990 he moved to Dutch village of Vlodrop due to his fragile health and spoke only by video link evn to his closest advisors.

The Maharishi will be always remembered. Lets pray god to rest his soul in peace.
