Paruthi Veeran rocked Berlin

The 2007 blockbuster movie Paruthi Veeran brought great fame to kollywood. 'Paruthi Veeran', directed by Ameer Sulthan, was honoured with a "special mention" from the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) at the 58th Berlin International film festival. The Berlin International Film Festival also called Berlinale is one of the world’s leading film festivals held in Berlin, Germany. Paruthi Veeran, one of my favourite movies brought great fame to Kollywood by getting a prestigious special mention in Berlin International film festival. ‘Mounam Pesiyadhe’ was the first movie for Ameer. He created an impact in his first movie itself by giving us a strange story. Next movie was ‘Ram’ in which Ameer didn’t forget to create an impact again. Though ‘Paruthi Veeran’ is a rural story, the story was very interesting with lots of violence and love. The way Karthi acted as ‘Paruthi Veeran’ was excellent. The interesting fact in this is that ‘Paruthi Veeran’ is his debut movie. Youngsters used to act in role of college students in their debut movie, but Karthi spoiled his image and acted in an excellent manner as ‘Paruthi Veeran’. Priya Mani as ‘Muthalagu’ was also equally best in that movie. She acted as a rural Madurai girl with no make up. This movie is the best in her career. Ameer told that he got a visiting card after ‘Mounam Pesiyadhe’ and ‘Ram’. Now he has got a credit card after ‘Paruthi Veeran’.
