Yahoo rejects Microsoft's bid

The dream of Microsoft has been demolished by Yahoo! as they announced on 10th February, 2008 that Microsoft's bid on Yahoo! is too low. Microsoft announced a huge amount of $44.6 billion i.e $31 per share to takeover Yahoo!. Yahoo! already told that they will perform a deep analysis on this bid and take the decision. Now Yahoo! has felt that $31 per share is too low and they told they are not going to consider any bid which is below $40 per share. Google succeeded in its work by offering help to Yahoo!. Google urged the antitrust regulators to take a hard look at the proposed deal. Even though Yahoo!'s revenue and stock values are coming down, it stands on the top in advertising. Most probably no others will give a bid price for $40 per share. So mostly Yahoo! will be retained by its owners. Yahoo! is expected to announce its decision officially on 11th February, 2008.
