Aussies crush the world champions

Forgetting the fact that he himself is a batsman, Mahendra singh Dhoni told the press that the Indian batsmen forgot their roles in the team after a worst defeat of the T20 champions in T20 match with Australia on 1st February. The world champions were all out just for 74 in 17.3 overs. Irfan pathan is the only batsman to take his score to double digit. The all-rounder took 26 of 30 balls. Aussies reached the easy target in just 11.2 overs with lose of one wicket. But I am happy that this is not the least total in T20 history. Yet this is the second lowest total. I don’t know whether this effect is due to Yuvraj’s absence. I was shocked to see eight fielders surrounding Ishanth Sharma when he was batting. Adam Voges is the first bowler to have eight fielders around a batsman in T20. After seeing the first innings I thought the pitch is a bowling pitch and so Aussies will also struggle to score runs. But the openers Adam Gilchrist and Michael Clark didn’t even miss single chance. I thought openers will finish the match. At least Indians managed to take Gilchrist’s wicket. This was gilchrist’s last international T20 match which he played for Australia. Michael Clarke was announced man of the match. Hope the same situation wont continue for the tri series.
