Sedhusamudhram project a threat to nation’s security?

One of the most controversial projects in India is the Sedhusamudhram project. Till now only Hindus were opposing the project due to the presence of an unknown Ramar bridge. But now a new problem has come to the list, that’s nothing but security problem. Coast guard chief said that the project will lead to both natural and man made attacks. Since this is a narrow canal, there are chances that the ships passing the area can be attacked by active terrorists in that area. But some are telling that a security ring can be made like panama and Suez Canal. In addition to these two problems, it is said that out of all the ships in this world, only 5% of the ships can use this canal as the remaining 95% of the ships are weighing more than 60000 tonnes. No idea whether Tamilnadu’s dream project, the Sedhu will be completed.
