Heath Ledger, the Australian-born actor was found dead on 22nd January, 2008 in an apartment in Manhattan with sleeping pills near his body. The 28 year old was found naked on the floor near the bed in an apartment in SoHo that he had been renting. A bottle of prescription sleeping pills was found on a nearby night table. It seems that there is no indication of suicide as there were no evidence like a note was found in the bedroom.
Heath Ledger moved to Los Angeles in 1999 and his first Hollywood film was the teenage romantic comedy “10 Things I Hate About You,” a send-up of Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” in which he appeared opposite Julia Stiles. The entire Hollywood has conveyed its shock and condolence to his family and fans, which also include the cancellation of a function by George W Bush which he planned to attend.
