Unexpected hike in fuel price

I don’t know whether it’s present government’s trend to hike the fuel price. I was shocked to see the news of fuel price hike on Thursday. Cost of petrol is hiked by two rupees and cost of diesel is hiked by one rupee. Strong protests are planned by the opposition parties to withdraw the fuel price hike. As a result of this hike in fuel price, it is afraid that the price of all other food items will rise. Even bus fares and Auto fares are expected to rise. Even I overheard two auto drivers speaking about increasing the auto fares. Following is the details of price of petrol in various cities in India.
