Some weeks ago, Tata introduced the world’s cheapest car. Now HCL has introduced India’s cheapest laptop. The cheapest laptop costs Rs.14000 which supports Linux operating system. HCL also has introduced the same laptops with Windows vista operating system which costs Rs.30000. The notebook has a 7 inch LCD screen and weighs about 1kg. Both models have Wi-Fi and an option for data card. All other specifications remain same as the previous version of laptops in HCL. CEO of HCL infosystems told that the notebook pcs in Mileap(My Internet Leap) series will be different from other notebooks in some manner. Like Tata nano created a revolution in automobile world, HCL laptops are expected to create a revolution in notebook pc in India. If the cost of laptops decreases, it is expected that sales of laptops will increase in India.
